The General Directorate executes decisions adopted by the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board, provides general coordination and technical support of the Institute’s activities, including management of personnel and operations as well as preparation and execution of regulatory documents, financial reporting, and ensuring proper employment conditions for the staff.
Besides the directorate
actively participates in implementation of a number of substantial projects of
the Institute. It includes the following divisions:

Department of Information Technologies, Infrastructure and Telecommunications

The General Directorate works in close cooperation with other IIS units, in particular with the e-Development Partnership, Directorate of Regional Programs, and Directorate of Monitoring Information Society Development.
