The Directorate of Prospective Projects was created in 2004 as the Directorate for Innovative and Investment Programs for the purposes of generating and making expert evaluations (both independently and in collaboration with partners) of long-term projects aimed at developing the Information Society and the Knowledge Economy; attracting investments for developing information resources, technologies, infrastructure, and services; supporting promising projects; and consulting investors on the issues of operating on the Russian information market.
