Andrey Cheryshev was born on the 10th of
April, 1955 in Moscow, in the house built by his great-grandfather in 1912.
He studied at secondary school ¹ 317. He was fond
of chess, pigeons, football and played the bass-guitar and sang in school music
group.
Among school subjects he especially paid attention
only to literature and geography. Reading, writing and arithmetic he’s learnt
before school. In 1972 he graduated school with average mark 3.6, and entered Moscow
State Aviation Technological University n.a. K. Tsiolkovskiy, though initially
was preparing for acting school.
While at the institute from the first course pursued
science and played in student theater.
In 1977 he married his classmate. In 1979 his first
daughter was born, and in 1981 the second.
Upon graduation from the institute (with average mark
4,6) entered full-time postgraduate studies. In 1982 defended dissertation on technical
diagnostics and was fascinated by theory and design of databases.
He worked as associate professor, headed laboratory
of information technologies. Many years worked as young pioneer organizer in summer
camp.
Mr. Chernyshev headed and participated in development
of data model, system of databases’ management and applied information systems in
different fields: aircraft engineering, librarianship, accounting, public statistics,
machine building, light industry, education, transport services.
He keeps pursuing theory of databases and developing
new data models. In the sphere of applied systems he takes up e-government
problems.
Since July 2009 he’s director of Department of Research
and Analytical Work of the Institute of the Information Society.
