International Forum is a public-economic movement of leading specialists and scientists of economy and finance, leading organizers of industrial manufacturing and financial management, education, science, technologies and communication. The Forum was created for summarizing practical global and domestic experience and for informing population of advanced achievements in various fields.

The Forum was founded in the beginning of 90`s supported by the International Union of Economists, the Russian Union of manufacturers and entrepreneurs and another leading public organizations. Within this period of time the Forum has become a new form of wide public outreach of social and economic knowledge as well as an important part of implementation of state measures on reconstruction of Russian economy, rendering assistance to development of Russian entrepreneurship, formation of public training system in market conditions, implementation of public expertise of state economical and financial programs and on this bases elaboration of recommendations for legislative and executive power.

The first International Forum was held in 1991 at The Kremlin, The State Kremlin Palace, Moscow and was oriented for attraction the Russian population to basis of market economy. More than 20 congresses, symposiums, conferences and sessions were held in Moscow and other regions of Russian Federation within the framework of the first Forum. This Forum aroused great interest of foreign scientists and businessmen. More than 500 businessmen from the USA, Japan, Germany, GB, France, Italy, China, Thailand, Singapore and another countries arrived in Moscow to participate in the Forum.

In forthcoming years International Forums were organized regularly and proved to be a new public movement in business life of the country supported by President Administration of Russian Federation, Government of Russian Federation, State Duma of Russian Federation, Heads of regional Administration, connecting with public, scientific, technical and industrial structures.

Congresses of professionals, scientific conferences as well as international business meetings are being hosted and actual social economic problems concerning the course of reconstruction of Russian economy are being considered and discussed within the framework of the International Forum.

For the last five years there were congresses at State Kremlin Palace as follows: "Economic reform in Russia: new stage", "Economic reforms in Russia: reality and perspectives", "Land reform: experience, problems and perspectives", "New stage of economic reforms: problems of legislative regulation", "Ways of development of taxable system of Russia", "Transport of Russia at the edge of centuries" and some others.

Besides congresses there were All-Russia session on development of national system of insurance as well as annual congresses of accountants and auditors of Russia. President of Russian Federation, Chairman of Government of Russian Federation, Chairman of State Duma of Russian Federation addressed the Forum.

In forthcoming years the Organizing Committee of the Forum was in charge of the program "Russia is on the eve of XXI century" aimed to join efforts of Russian and foreign scientists and specialists, statesmen and public notable persons for solving strategic matters connected to social and economic development of Russian Federation. In 1999 Forum` work was established at a new qualitative level.

It has become a good tradition to arrange meetings after sessions between participants of Forum events` and Chairmen of State Duma` Committees. Problems concerning rendering support to branches of Russian economic complex are considered and discussed during these meetings. Important decisions and constructive recommendations referring the most relevant economic directions of Russian economy were made and were included into Decisions and Acts of Government of Russian Federation and the State Duma of Russian Federation and in time were used to prepare Annual accost of President of Russian Federation to Federal Assembly of Russian Federation.

Forums always were covered by Russians means of mass-media including TV central channels, radio and specialized printing issues. Forum` materials referring the most actually matters of development of Russia are used in scientific reports and problematic articles of leading scientists and specialists as well as in printed issues of International Union of Economists, Russian Union of manufacturers and entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce of Russia, Russian Association on development of small entrepreneurship, Association of Accountants and Auditors "Sodruzhestvo" and other public organizations.
